Custom army painted guitar with USAF theme. Based on a side profile on a side profile of a B17 WW2 bomber this guitar shows off USAF insignia with the tail number of the famous Memphis Belle. Given the aircraft was aluminium NO rust streaks were add to the patina effect instead some weathering marks and battle scars. Each pop rivet was painted individually to help create the well used, and aged look of a WW2 aircraft. It was then given a coat of 2k matt clear for protection.
The original guitar was in poor shape, badly painted and had damage that all needed fixing so full repairs and priming was carried out prior to the paint job. It takes time to repair and correctly prep the surface for paint but is an essential part of making these custom painted guitars not only look great but lasts.
