CUSTOM PAINTED HARLEY DAVIDSON

AIRWURX was asked to help cover up a previous pinup paint job on this super cool Harley Davidson. At the same time a slight upgrade was requested to develop a subtle WW2 theme.

 

Being based close to RAF Rackheath which was home to the B24 Liberators during WW2 it was decided to use elements of this in the design. Bomber group, tail numbers and insignia all feature and round off a great looking bike.

 

The owner also specified that the pin up girl was not no be 'to perfect' and needed to be in keeping with the simplistic almost crude style painted on the nose of the 1940's - photo realistic artwork was not an option, instead a more basic style with a slight worn/patina effect has also been added to the artwork.
